Alcohol & Other Drug Youth Residential Treatment Service

Rongo Atea is a 24 hour, 7 day a week, abstinence based, kaupapa Maori alcohol and other drug programme that embraces all adolescence. We cater for youth between the ages of 13 and 17 who have severe misuse of Alcohol and/or and other drug dependence.

We structure our residential programme in 10 week blocks. This open ended individualized recovery treatment programme (10 week minimum) that enables youth to enter into residence as their need presents. The purpose built facility can accommodate 6 youth of each gender (a total of 12 youth) at any one time.
