Reform of New Zealand’s Liquor Laws PDF Print E-mail

The Law Commission is currently undertaking a project to review the law on the sale and supply of liquor. Review panel president Right Hon Sir Geoffrey Palmer reports that what the review panel has found so far is that liquor has become a serious source of social problems. Disproportionate use of Police, Doctors and Nursing staff resources are required to clean up the scenes of disorder and damage that is wrought. (abridged)
