Iwi Health Services are here to ADVOCATE for a better quality of life for whānau. ENABLE whānau to reach their fullest health potential and MEDIATE to be able to provide a coordinated approach in the pursuit of good health on behalf of whānau. To ensure that tamariki and whānau have information to improve and protect their children.

I am currently working in the Injury Prevention sector and am responsible for raising the awareness of whānau around injury prevention and encouraging safe practices and create a positive safety culture in Hamilton and surrounding areas. I am also working around communicable diseases and working on strategies that will assist Maori to becoming more proactive around preventions

As part of the Iwi Health Service, my role is to ensure tamariki are supported by providing information of accessible services, distribution of safe sleep devices for pēpi, programmes and workshops within the community; to support whānau to improve the health and well-being of their tamariki.
