Nga Kapua O Te Ao
Crisis / Early Intervention Service

Nga Kapua o Te Ao is the gateway into the Runanga Mental Health services. The Unit provides Assessment, Early Intervention and Crisis Support Services.

The Services provided, will help:

  • Implement Kaupapa Maori Crisis Respite Service to Kirikiriroa.
  • Expand Crisis Service provision and capitalise on new business opportunities.
  • To maintain existing networks and develop new strategic relationships.
  • Referrals are maintained at capacity for all services.
  • To identify and develop opportunities for seamless service provision.
  • To proactively promote the Runanga Mental Health Services.
  • To contribute to the development & articulation of a Runanga Mental Health Best Practice Model.
  • To implement a continuous improvement regime.
  • To ensure relevant professional development for staff.
  • To professionally advocate, link and support with Mental Health Collectives.
  • To provide same day Crisis Respite Services.
  • To offer Treatment Support options
  • To proactively utilize Traditional and Western pathways.

Hours:

Monday to Friday 9.00am-4.30pm
