Te Ara Pai

Dual Diagnosis

Supporting and Educating individuals and families living with the presence of Mental Health, Alcohol & Drug Issues.

Te Ara Pai is the Dual Diagnosis unit:

  • Providing support, treatment and education services to individuals and whanau who have alcohol and drug issues together with a co-existing mental health condition.
  • Providing high quality Dual Diagnosis Service, using indigenous (kaupapa Maori) and evidence based treatment and recovery approaches.
  • Providing this service through an integrated multi disciplinary treatment and support approach.
  • Working in close collaboration with the wider network of community, health, welfare and related social service resources.
  • Providing this service in close collaboration with Pacific Island and other ethnic communities.
  • Providing the service in accordance with the Best Practice Model of Mental Health Services of Te Runanga O Kirikiriroa.

We hold to the evidence that a diagnosed mental health disorder will be negatively compromised by continued use and abuse of alcohol and other drugs.

We provide:

  • Support Services
  • Advocacy
  • Assessment and treatment planning
  • Education
  • Understanding
  • We are Whanau centred, Strength based and Recovery focused.
