Te Rūnanga o Kirikiriroa is a kaupapa Māori organisation based on a whānau first, tikanga based, wellbeing approach. Our organisation works to a model of care centred around our pou (guiding principles) of manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, arohatanga, rangatiratanga, tika and pono. We deliver 30+ health and social services across the life span (i.e., from infants to the elderly) and have a team of over 100 people working across Hamilton city and beyond.

About the Role

We have a full time position available within our Korowai Manaaki Housing Team for a Cleaner. This is primarily a Monday to Friday role working 40 hours a week and on occasions you may be required to work the weekends.   

We are seeking a Cleaner who: 

  • Pride themselves on a whānau first, tikanga based, wellbeing approach 
  • Is passionate about caring for the environment and materials used 
  • Is respectful and upholds the integrity/dignity of the organisation 

 Specific Requirements:  

  • Fully Covid-19 vaccinated and boosted, and can show evidence 
  • Have a full drivers license  
  • Housekeeping - Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures. Cleaning and sanitizing toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops, and sinks. Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen area. Making beds and changing linens.  
  • The ability to plan, prioritise and work independently 
  • Physically fit, active and enjoy working outdoors 
  • Confidential 
  • Reliable 
  • Efficient and demonstrates good initiative 
  • On call and after hours’ duties

Salary/HOURLY RATE:
Between $57,200.00 - $64,480.00 dependent on qualifications and experience, aligning with pay equity
