Te Rūnanga o Kirikiriroa is a kaupapa Māori organisation based on a whānau first, tikanga based, wellbeing approach. Our organisation works to a model of care centred around our pou (guiding principles) of manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, arohatanga, rangatiratanga, tika and pono. We deliver 30+ health and social services across the life span (i.e., from infants to the elderly) and have a team of over 100 people working across Hamilton city and beyond.
We have a Kaitautoko HR Coordinator position available. This is a Monday-Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm position working 40 hours a week. The Pumanawa Tangata team (HR) are responsible for operational excellence, ensuring the Rūnanga has the right people, resource, and support in place so we can provide optimal services and support to others.

- 1 x premanent, full-time, 40 hours/week
- Monday-Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm
- From $30.00 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the operations of the Rūnanga by coordinating HR service provision to kaimahi
- Supporting the functions of the end to end employee lifecycle including recruitment, orientation, and compliance
- Filing, data entry, scanning, uploading of documentation to HR system
- Supporting kaimahi with queries
We are seeking a Kaitautoko HR Coordinator who:
- Prides themselves on their ability to work to a whānau first, tikanga based, wellbeing approach
- Works to a holistic approach to wellbeing
- Understands and actively demonstrates our pou
- Uses appropriate language and communication skills (e.g., tone, active listening)
- Has a high level of computer literacy and experience using electronic systems and applications e.g., Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite and databases
You will have:
- 1-3 years working in a kaupapa Māori environment
- 2-5 years experience in HR Coordinator and/or administrative work
- Experience in handling complaints and difficult situations
- A basic understanding of te ao Māori principles e.g., te reo and tikanga, and a willingness to learn more in this area
- A level 7 qualification in human resources or similar field, te reo Māori, tikanga Māori or be prepared to study towards one or more of these qualifications
- Be highly organised and able to prioritise tasks
- Good initiative and attention to detail
- A high level of confidentiality and flexibility
- A high level of communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build relationships and maintain positive working relationships across all services of the organisation
- Evidence of your fully vaccinated and boosted Covid-19 status
- Full driver licence
- Proof of your right to work in New Zealand
